The peas are ground before processing. Grinding a ton of dry peas results in approximately 760 kg of pea flour and 200 kg of pea hulls. Before the peas are ground, they are peeled. Pea flour is mainly used as a protein component for food and feed. The pea hulls are used as raw material for fermentation.
